Das Puppenspiel Puppet Theater is pleased to announce the opening of its 2007/08 Season that will feature local, regional, and national programming throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Touring will include mainstage presentations, arts in education programming, and performance with live philharmonic orchestras, as well as workshops and special residencies. All productions feature beautifully crafted modified ‘bunraku’ style puppets for larger size puppets and intricate manipulation by four puppeteers. Das Puppenspiel has delighted over 2,400,000 children and adults in over 44 States and abroad at theatres, schools, museums, colleges, arts councils, festivals, and with live orchestras.

Past (and future) presenters include the Kennedy Center (DC), California Center for the Arts (CA), Coral Springs Performing Arts Center (FL), Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts (NY), Carolina Civic Center (NC), Villa Montalvo Performing Arts Center (CA), Birmingham Children’s Theatre (AL), Tulsa Philharmonic Orchestra (OK), Chautauqua Institution (NY), Phoenix Symphony (AZ), The Classics (TX) Atlanta Symphony (GA), Symphony Space (NY), Wolf Trap Foundation (VA), International Children’s Festival (TX), Count Basie Theater (NJ), Dartmouth College (NH), Luthor Burbank Center (CA), Louisville Children’s Theatre (KY), Weinberg Center for the Performing Arts (MD), Fairbanks Concert Association (AK), Brooklyn Academy of Music (NY, and the London International Children’s Festival.). The Company also presents arts-in-education programming and performances at venues and schools throughout the U.S., including New York State’s BOCES Arts-in-Education programs on a statewide level.
